Bundesliga: First against second.

It seems that Bayern are indeed scoring for fun, and Klose is enjoying the ride. A hat trick during the week against lowly Cottbus sees the Bavarians comfortably on top of the table, three points ahead of Leverkusen. To avoid this season becoming a one horse race at this early stage, neutrals are hoping that Leverkusen can inflict a first defeat on Bayern this weekend when they meet in their small Ruhr stadium. The only other unbeaten team, Schalke, sit in third place. They entertain Berlin who also are clinging to the thought of challenging for the title. Bremen meanwhile are leaking goals at the moment and will need to tighten their defense. Stuttgart are yet to really get going and have already lost three games. So, Bayern to win the Bundesliga if they win this weekend.
At the foot the situation is looking uncomfortable for Cottbus. No wins, no manager and Frankfurt arriving. No hope really! Though Rostock, with no points this time last week now have two wins under their belts and are looking up the table. What will Dortmund do this week? Who knows. They disappointed their legions of fans mid-week with a 0-3 home loss. And they looked weak all over the park.

This weeks games are:

FC Schalke 04 – Hertha BSC
Werder Bremen – Arminia Bielefeld
Bayer Leverkusen – Bayern München
Hamburger SV – VfL Wolfsburg
VfL Bochum – 1. FC Nürnberg
Karlsruher SC – Borussia Dortmund
Hansa Rostock – VfB Stuttgart
Hannover 96 – MSV Duisburg
Energie Cottbus – Eintracht Frankfurt
