Bye Bye Bayern

germanylogo.jpg

Three games to go.
The champions in the Bundesliga this year will not be Bayern Muenchen. They have failed in all competitions and are planning a total revamp of their team. They are in fourth place. At the top it looks like this. Schalke are ahead of Stuttgart. Bremen are in third place. One of these teams will win, but whilst Stuttgart are on a winning run, having won their last five games, confidence in the other two teams is low. Bremen are particularly weak at the moment and are unable to win in the Bundesliga or in Europe. Schalke too, lost last weekend. All must win this weekend.
In the relegation battle, Moenchengladbach are now confirmed to go down. Mainz, who visit Stuttgart look likely to join them. But this weeks pick of the games is Frankfurt v. Aachen. The loser will be in the bottom three and will find it difficult to survive. Aachen, who have only recently joined the Bundesliga for the first time, have their work cut out for them. Frankfurt should win.
This weeks games are:

Hannover – Cottbus (Friday) 2-0
Frankfurt – Aachen 4-0
Schalke 04 – Nürnberg 1-0
Stuttgart – Mainz 05 2-0
Hamburg – Bochum 0-3
Gladbach – München 1-1
Wolfsburg – Dortmund 0-2
Hertha – Bremen (Sunday)1-4
Bayer – Bielefeld (Sunday) 1-2
