I heard Jurgen Klopp talking about a 'dirty win' against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League - this is the same as winning ugly, right?
@hp-sauce Great question!
Is 'a dirty win' the same as 'an ugly win'? Well, I think they are close in meaning, but an ugly win means that the winning team did not really play attractive football; perhaps, they defended all the time and scored on a lucky break, or they fouled a lot and slowed the play down to make the game very boring. I'm not sure 'dirty win' means the same thing. What do you think?
