What does fizz mean in this description of the Lyon third goal?

Yes, Hederberg has hit the ball really hard across the 6-yard box to her team mate - she has fizzed the ball. We can fizz a pass into a team mate - a pass that is hit really hard so the defenders cannot get to it. Players can also fizz a shot - again, a really hard shot.
