Hi everyone. What do the following words mean? Inspire Prode - Raul Jimenez inspired Wolves at St Mary's - GOAL Bournemouth 1-0 Arsenal (35 mins) Dan Gosling prods home Jack Stacey's cross to break the deadlock

Hello

To inspire means to motivate someone else to improve their performance so here in this example Raul Jimenez helped Wolves to win at St Mary's (Southampton's ground).

In the second example the verb to prod home means to score from close range. Prod suggests that the ball was pushed into the net.
