'She's having a pop' means she's having a shot (probably a long-range one).

I have not heard 'taking a dip' but maybe this is also taking a long shot. A dipping shot describes a long-range shot where the ball starts high but then drops quickly. This kind of shot can cause trouble for the goalkeeper as they think the ball is going over the bar but then at the end it drops and could go into the goal.

A dipping effort

A dipping volley

A dipping shot

The shot dipped at the last minute to give the keeper a lot of trouble.

Example: De Bruyne's brilliant dipping free-kick arrowed into the top corner to bring City level shortly after the break and they almost took the lead moments later...

Example: Leicester grew into the contest with the lively James Maddison twice coming close and left-back Ben Chilwell saw his dipping effort tipped over by David de Gea.
