It was one-way traffic at Anfield last Saturday. It’s not often a premier League side let’s in six – last season of course Reading put half a dozen past West Ham – and while it’s too early to say that Liverpool are real title contenders, it’s not pushing it to say that the wheels are coming off the Derby jalopy: one point from five and propping up the table. Rafa’s team are moving through the gears nicely and the defeat of Aston Villa in the opener is now put in more perspective after Villa beat Chelsea 2-0. Bigger tests to come, but so far so good.
A tough week for Derby who also went down at home in the c cup to high flying Blackpool! And what a week for the Seasiders who are showing that it takes much more than million pound signings to win games. It looks like Blackpool will be playing Derby in the Championship next season.
