So, Liverpool have played Arsenal three times this season and Arsenal have thrashed us three times with an aggregate score of 12-4. Two of those defeats have come at Anfield, where Liverpool have been almost unbeatable. Most commentators were focusing on the fact that the two defeats in the cups (FA and League) were the worst defeats in living memory for Liverpool. I was just focusing on Benitez’ clever plan to look towards the upcoming crunch games against Chelsea in the league and Barcelona in the CL. Also, not a bad idea to show the Board of directors how ‘thin’ your reserves are by fielding a team comprised of second and third string players and watching them get embarrassed. Remember there are two more weeks to go in the transfer window – expect to see some exciting signings. Henry perhaps?
