  • Friendlies do give people a chance to see their country play. The trouble is, the players don’t take them seriously.

  • Another player found wanting was SW Phillips, if Capello can eat humble pie why not MacClaren? Bring back Beckham!

  • A waste of time to be sure especially when more than 30 players have taken part in the game.

    At least the England – Spain game was useful as it was clear that Frank Lampard is nowhere near being international class, no matter what Jose Mourinho said to him in the shower.
