UEFA Cup – another victory

A third away victory in the UEFA Cup last night against Bayer Leverkusen means that Spurs go through to the knock-out stage of the tournament after another disciplined performance.

However Martin Jol was still not entirely happy as yet again the team dominated possession and had numerous chances but failed to add to Berbatov’s 4th goal in European action this season. Having played for Leverkusen for 5 years it was always likely that the Bulgarian international would score against his old club, now let’s hope he can continue the form in the league this weekend against Wigan.

  • Thanks for the comments Shou but I do not think Defoe will be going to Manchester United, especially as Tottenham are starting to play well again. A victory against Arsenal on Saturday? That would be great!

  • If Spurs can keep good condition, they will be able to win
against Arsenal. (Of course, my lovely Red Devils will win against Middlesbrough)

And… I think that SPURS will transfer Defoe to the Red devils. We hope that a new striker joins our team. Jol completely denied this rumor but I don’t think so because He demands a participation opportunity.

  • Berbatov is class and if he stays fit could help Spurs win the UEFA Cup this year. Give him time and the goals will come in the league too.
